The best time to shoot landscapes is sunrise and sunset.
First off you won’t get a great sunset every time you go out. I have had my best luck in the spring and fall. And don’t go out at sunset time. Go out a half hour to an hour early. This will give you time to find the optimum spot and set up. By the way, sunset is not over when the sun drops behind the horizon. No, no, no. You can have over an hours worth of great light if you know how to set your camera. I don’t have as much info about sunrises. They happen to early for me. I do know this, just like sunsets, you can get some great shots about an hour BEFORE sunrise. Get there early and be ready. Most of all Have fun. If you have any question, feel free to ask.
